1. Initial Contact

Whether you visit our Cambridge showroom or reach out online, the first step is a relaxed conversation. We’ll chat about your current kitchen or your goals for a new build — including how you use the space, your inspiration, and what you’re hoping to achieve in terms of functionality and style.

What you’ll need:

  • Building plans or rough measurements: these give us a clear view of your space and layout.

  • Photos: If renovating within an existing space, photos of the area can help.

  • Inspiration images: Interest boards, magazine clippings or photos of a friend's kitchen, anything that shows your style!

  • Appliances: If you have already made some decision to keep or purchase new appliances then the model codes help us make sure we design these to fit. If you haven't decided on appliances yet that's ok too! We can help.

2. Site Measure & Design Brief

We’ll visit your home (if you're local) or work from your plans to take accurate measurements and get a feel for your space. This helps us design a kitchen that suits your layout and lifestyle.

Not local? No problem. We’ve worked remotely with clients across New Zealand — if you’re after a beautiful German-made kitchen, we’ll find a way to make it work.

What happens:

  • We measure your space

  • You share your ideas, style preferences, and must-haves

  • We discuss your budget, timeframe, and key project details

3. Design Presentation

About a week later, we’ll invite you back to the showroom to present your personalised kitchen design. You’ll see a 3D model of your kitchen and walk through the layout, materials, and options with your designer.

This stage includes:

  • 3D renderings of your kitchen

  • Cabinet, benchtop, and colour selections

  • A detailed quote and project timeline

4. Design Revisions & Confirmation

Want to change the layout, adjust materials, or try something new — even after making the initial deposit? No problem. We’ll continue refining your design until everything is just right.

When you’re ready:

  • Final measurements and specifications are confirmed

  • We place your order and get the ball rolling!

5. Production & Delivery

Your kitchen is custom-built by our German partner, Nobilia, and shipped to New Zealand. Production and delivery usually take around 14–18 weeks, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

6. Installation & Handover

Our experienced installers take care of the full installation. We manage the delivery and coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly and to the highest standard.

You’ll receive:

  • A full walkthrough of your new kitchen

  • Care instructions and warranty details

  • Continued support from your designer

7. Aftercare & Support

We’re here for the long haul. Whether you need advice on caring for your benchtop, want to order a replacement part, or just have a question down the line — we’re only a call or email away.

"Replacing a 60 year old kitchen in the same room space can be considered daunting. It was on the ‘to do’ list but well down in priority. A pleasant meeting with Hamilton Palazzo representatives at a national field day event progressed the tentative plan much quicker than anticipated. First impressions from the showroom were of the quality of the cabinets and the applied finish. A significant step above locally sourced materials which had been previously considered.  Upon initial choice of fixtures and fittings and supplying illustrations of the existing layout the proposal for a finished product was established. A firmed up proposal and further consultation with Palazzo resulted in a site visit to confirm dimensions and advice on modifying the existing space to meet the requirements of the installation upon which the order was sent to Germany. The assured end result exceeded expectations.

In short - Palazzo  provided: Great personal service throughout the whole exercise, Empathy in dealing with the restrictions of the site. Very good advice in choosing materials which complimented the house style. Support to the tradesmen/contractors in interpreting plan details. Including an experienced Palazzo contracted kitchen fitter in the package was the best decision. Impressive onsite service and advice from the local Palazzo store when installation was in progress. Further great support for post installation modifications which further reinforces the concept of being able to update the installation as needs change. "
